Isolation of impurities by purification (step by step)
We use various techniques in order to isolate one or more impurities in your compound. Before purification, trials can be undertaken to increase impurities’ proportions by forced degradation reactions. We try various methods to purify or isolate the compound (Liquid-liquid extraction, purification in normal phase or reversed-phase, semi-preparative HPLC, crystallization…) so as to have enough quantity of the impurity (ies). Therefore, we will be able to carry out analyses for their structural elucidation.
Purification of a mixture of compounds
AtlanChim Pharma can help you to purify your compound if its purity is inadequate for your application or for characterization.
We can provide you with information such as: 1H NMR, , 13C NMR, mass spectrum, HPLC analysis, infrared spectrum, analysis of the water content by Karl Fischer … Numerous methods can be used to purify your compound (Liquid-liquid extraction, purification in normal phase or reversed-phase, semi-preparative HPLC, crystallization) in order to increase the purity and/or remove others products. After this step, we will be able to achieve all the required analyses to assume its characterization and we will deliver you a certificate of analysis (CoA) according to your needs (1H NMR, 13C, mass spectrum, HPLC analysis, infrared spectrum, melting point, water content by Karl Fischer titration…)
Structural elucidation and synthesis of impurities
Our equipments allow us to achieve the necessary analyses for the determination of the structure of an impurity or of your compound: NMR analyses (1H, 13C, DEPT, COSY, HMBC, HSQC…) HRMS, IR, RX … Thanks to our know-how in laboratory experimentation, we also manage to better understand secondary reactions inducing the formation of an impurity. Moreover, our expertise in organic synthesis allows us, if it is necessary, to synthesize the impurity on a lab scale (from milligram to gram) if a synthetic pathway can be proposed. Synthesis of the compound may be necessary to validate the structure proposed after structural analysis (if there are several hypotheses of structure after structural analysis) or if we are not able to isolate the compound (no method enable us to isolate the impurity), or if you need a larger amount of this compound (up to one gram).
